Yesturday morning I was told I look similar to the famous Angelique Houtkamp. But I’m not convinced.

My definition of love.
Love is so many things and it is also not so many things:
Possessiveness is not love.
Jealousy is not love.
Lust is not love.
Fear is not love.
Keeping people all to yourself is not love.
‘Love is any of a number of emotions related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure (“I loved that meal”) to intense interpersonal attraction (“I love my wife”). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.’
- ‘A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
- A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.
- Sexual passion.
- Sexual intercourse.
- A love affair.
- An intense emotional attachment, as for a pet or treasured object.
- A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction; beloved. Often used as a term of endearment.
- An expression of one’s affection: Send him my love.
- A strong predilection or enthusiasm: a love of language.
- The object of such an enthusiasm: The outdoors is her greatest love.’
In saying this I do beleive there is such a thing as ‘love’ and being ‘in love’ and yes I do believe that love is an emotional connection but I also beleive that love is chemical. Somewhat being the urge to mate but also the craving of hormones and seriton as well as oxytocin realesed in the body in which makes us feel good.
Recent studies in have indicated that as people fall in love, the brain consistently releases a certain chemicals, including pheromones, dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin, which act similar to amphetamines, stimulating the brain’s pleasure center.
I believe we generally pick one partner to share life with because we feel that they are a suitiable candidate to become a parent, support you, continue to pleasure you and also have certain genetics and traits in which you may lack and desire to have in your children.
I also think that there is paternal and maternal love. Love for certain types of food and activities and certain objects. Which are all related to brain chemicals also.
Regardless, love is beautiful in everyway and is something to be cherished and never wasted.
Something I would do if no one stopped you or if you knew I wouldn’t fail…
Well, nothing. I’m ‘of age‘ in more ways than one so legally I can do anything. Smoke, drink, drive, serve alcohol, have sex, vote, get tattooed etc.
There’s nothing illegal I would like to do, and I’m sure that if I did or anyone else did, they wouldn’t succeed and would eventually fail/be caught. Eg. Drug running, stealing a car, stealing someones hand bag etc etc.
Sometimes you don’t know if you will fail or not until you try. Sometimes its not worth it because you know you WILL fail. In general… not alot stops you in the end.
For so long so many people have been like ‘did you know you look like “so-and-so”?’ and usually my answer is ‘yes I get it all the time!’ or ‘haha, haven’t heard that one, but thanks, I guess.’
Today it happened again and it was the second of the two.
Apparently I look ‘identical’ to Cindy Waddingham better known as Sarah from SBS’s Wildfred.
I’ve also been told I look like Hannah Murray who got her big break as Cassie in Skins Season 1 and 2. She’s so loverly. I’ve been compared to Hannah Murray the most out of any famous person or any other person in general. It honestly doesn’t surprise me when people say ‘OMG! Your Cassie!!!’
Once I was told I looked like Victoria Secret beauty, Gisele Bünchen one night when I went out. It wasn’t by a stranger either.
Natasha Bedingfield? I don’t really think so but people think what they will.
Someone once asked me if I was the young blonde girl off the Chupa Chup ad. I’m not but she sort of looks like Uma Thurman…
And finally Taylor Swift. I’ve been told a few times that I look like Miss Swift and I probably would agree.
